Spiders are generally looked at in two very distinct ways: downright adorable or terrifyingly scary. However, new evidence has come to light that spiders may actually have tiny paws. This might have just completely eliminated the chance of spiders being looked at as intimidating at all.
A spider’s paw is specifically called a tarsus in scientific terms. It makes up one of the 8 segments of the spider’s complicated leg.
A spider’s paw differs from that of a dog or cat in the fact that it doubles as a nose or even ears – helping the arachnid identify and recognize subtle changes in the air with regards to smell and sound.
Once you disregard the fact that spiders can be menacing and if you totally have not read about the horrors spiders exhibit, this list will totally alternate your view on the tiny arachnids.
In all honesty, they look downright adorable. The next time you freak out from a spider, just remember their tiny little paws.
Is this somehow changed the way you think about spiders? Quite adorable isn't it?
