It seems that a lot of people would do anything just to get their instant fame on social media! Are you familiar with the lines "Help me reach 10k likes 5k shares to get this etc etc..?"
One such person recently received netizens’ ire after she asked for 4k retweets so she wouldn’t abort her baby. Do you think she’s serious? Who in the world would think that?
Known only as user Saipanting, the woman shares what appears to be a photo of herself with a baby bump. In her post, she wrote, “4 months pregnant. 4k RTs & I won’t abort it.”
While netizens couldn’t decipher whether she was serious or this was just a prank, many retweeted the post anyway just to ensure that the unborn baby is safe just in case the woman actually pushes through with her threat if the required 4,000 retweets are not met.
The drama intensifies when another user butt in, accusing the girl of not telling him directly that he’s the baby’s father. The guy felt angry that he only learned of her pregnancy on social media. But the girl told him he’s the crazy one for blocking her when she asked him for money.
But while the convo between the two seemed quite believable, many netizens grew suspicious that perhaps this girl and her boyfriend were just trying to go viral.
While her means of going viral and ‘popular’ was despicable, a lot of netizens believe she was really just looking for attention.
But other were convinced the tweet was an attention-seeking stunt and that it was staged.
However, Saipanting from Florida did manage to exceed 4,000 retweets and currently has more than 10,000 and additional 2k comments.
But it is unclear if she really was pregnant or not.
It might even be possible she’s not actually pregnant at all. But if she really is pregnant and was thinking of aborting the child, we hope she has changed her mind and would become a good parent for the child.
