Ryan Leonardo Santiago, the son of singer-actor Randy Santiago, passed away on Sunday, August 13. He was only 24.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, seen by ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe, Randy's brother and Ryan's uncle, Reily Santiago, confirmed the sad news.
Reily also told ABS-CBN News' Mario Dumaual that Ryan suffered from a rare form of brain disease and multiple sclerosis.
Ryan Leonardo is survived by his parents Randy and Marilou Santiago and his two brothers.
The urn viewing will be held from August 14 to 16 until midnight at the La Salle Greenhills Chapel.
In 2015, Ryan Leonardo was hospitalized due to a "fungal virus."
Aside from Ryan, Randy has two more children and his wife Marilou Coronel-Raphael and Raiko. The sympathy came from immediate friends of the Santiago family because of Ryan's passing.

What is Multiple Sclerosis?
Multiple sclerosis (MS) affects the brain and spinal cord. Early MS symptoms include weakness, tingling, numbness, and blurred vision. Other signs are muscle stiffness, thinking problems, and urinary problems. Treatment can relieve MS symptoms and delay disease progression.
Most people with MS have a normal life expectancy. Those that don't get treatment may develop mobility dysfunction while those with the severe progressive forms may develop complications like pneumonia.
There's no cure for multiple sclerosis (MS), but medicines can help you manage the disease. Work closely with your doctor to find the treatment that's best for you and causes the fewest side effects.
