In an interview, Zoren attributes the light, fun, and maaliwalas vibe of their home to the family's closeness.
The couple is like a barkada to their twins Cassy and Mavy.
He says, "Sa tingin ko it's not the house.
"Pakiramdam ko 'yong energy na pagpasok nila sa house, 'yong energy na naba-vibe nila inside the house—iyon 'yon.
"Sinasabi ko nga sa kambal, ‘Ang ikinakaganda niyan [their house], iyong mga taong nakatira sa loob.'
"No matter how big your house is, kung lagi naman nag-aaway ang pamilya, hindi nag-uusap, walang communication, naglolokohan—it's not really a home."
Carmina throws in, "Gusto namin maging dating ng bahay na it's not just a lovely home, but it's a home.
"Iyong parang ganoon, yung super happy family."
Here's a virtual tour of their former residence in Pasig City.
Their receiving area
The interiors of their kitchen and powder room were straight from a magazine feature.
According to Carmina, she didn't find the need to hire an interior designer since she herself loves collecting home magazines.
Meanwhile, this den also doubled as Zoren's "man cave."
Mavy, who was then seven years old, in his own room
Cassy's private space was filled with her toys including Disney Princesses and Bratz dolls.
Carmina and Zoren's master bedroom
The Kapamilya actress admitted that she does most of her emailing and surfing via laptop in their master bathroom.
Found in the attic was the couple's shared closet.
The shoes and bags were neatly arranged and displayed a la department store.
After the Ondoy onslaught, the family transferred to a new home.
