"There's no better way to thank God for your sight than to give a helping hand to someone in the dark."
Here in the Philippines, we see a lot of young and old people selling sampaguita flowers to passersby and motorists just to make ends meet. Rain or shine, they sell whatever they can to whoever they can just to be able to bring food to the table or to have "Pambaon" on their school. But because of the number of sellers out there, some of them go home late at night without being able to sell even a piece. On the end of the day, they go home tired and hungry.
A heart warming post hits the internet when a Facebook user Mikee Blanco posted her good deed. She was walking along Tomas Morato in Quezon City when an old woman suddenly approached her and begged for food. The old woman was apparently a sampaguita flower vendor, but wasn’t able to sell a single thing the whole day. She was hungry and had no choice but to beg.
Being the Good Samaritan she was, Blanco decided to feed the old woman at a nearby Jollibee and even told her that they could eat together. However, on their way to Jollibee, a few other sampaguita sellers approached her and told her that they were hungry as well.
Instead of turning them away, Blanco decided to do a selfless act and feed them all! Fortunately, she had money in her pockets to allow her to do so. She shared the photos on Facebook, with smiles all over the faces of the vendors.
Netizens praised her for her selfless act and told her that she will be receiving blessings soon—Heartfelt messages and wishes for this Good Samaritan!
